Max Michel Shooting Tips



At age 28 Max Michel is a legend within the world of competitive shooting. A three time World Speed Shooting Champion, five time USPSA National Champion, and two time US National Steel Champion, Max is a dominant force in pistol shooting sports. Born and raised in New Orleans , LA Max began shooting when he was just 5 years old. In 1999 Max joined the famed USAMU's Action Pistol Team and served in the U.S. Army for 10 years as an Army shooter and trainer. Max Michel is recognized worldwide as a top tier athlete and instructor.

Today, Michel is involved with several key segments of the SIG SAUER business as well as many of his other partners. In addition to competing in shooting events, such as USPSA and Steel Challenge as the SIG SAUER Team Captain, Max manages SIG SAUER’s involvement in the competitive shooting market. These efforts include working with other shooters, match sponsorships, and co-marketing efforts. Max also works with SIG SAUER Product Managers to further strengthen SIG SAUER’s competitive gun offerings and teaches select shooting courses at the SIG SAUER Academy™ as a member of their prestigious group of highly experienced instructors.
