Why Buy an Airsoft Propane Adapter?


It was discovered several years ago by the owner of airsoft mechanics that Green Gas is simply propane with silicone lubricant added. It was after proving this by sending a bottle of Green Gas to an independent laboratory for verification that Airsoft Innovations started selling propane adapters. The idea behind the propane adapter is to simply adapt a disposable bottle of propane to an airsoft style fill nozzle. The economy for the user here is staggering a bottle of green gas can cost around 6 to 18 dollars, and is usually not available locally. Disposable propane is available everywhere for 3 to 5 dollars a bottle, and one propane bottle will outlast several bottles of Green Gas. An added benefit is the lack of lubricant in propane. Many will argue that is a disadvantage, but if you disassemble your replicas and lube the seals regularly, the lack of lubricant in the gas is a huge advantage in accuracy because the hop bucking stays dry.
